Interviews after first day

dovi gp14 sepand new ducatiAndrea Ianone, Cal Crutchlow and Andrea Dovizioso tried today the new GP14.

After a full morning with the oldest GP13 all the Ducati riders jumped on the GP14, full of hope and expectations, but reserved, as nobody expected miracles over the night.

ANDREA DOVIZIOSO

My first impressions were good. The bike improved under some aspects and i couldn't find any weakness compared to the old one.
I can be more aggressive and i can close better the lines.

The bike didn't changed too much, the characteristics are almost the same and also the limits. But this onlythe first day and we have lots of things to try in the next outings.

I made just 2 runs with the new bike, the first one of 6 laps and a 7 lap run the second time.

I like the way we work with Dall'Igna, how we speak. There is a little bit of his hand in this GP14 also, he accelerated some things. There was no time to make different changes and I don't think this will be our bike for the entire season.

CAL CRUTCHLOW

Gigi has all the situation under control, he's a real leader and we, the riders, are following his word. This first day I used it to get rid of the rust, there are three months since i didn't rode a bike.

The bike is not very different from the previous one. It has goods and bads. The GP13 used to brake better but the new one managed to solve some of the entry corner problems and also the out of corner acceleration.

Coming here to test is a good idea because the lack of grip makes all the problems to come up faster and see where we must work on.

ANDREA IANONE

I started with the GP13 with Dovi's frame from last year and after the first 7 laps I already improved my lap times from last year.

The new bike was ok except the electronics and the braking. We managed to set it up with our own stuff and i managed to drop a second.
The front is not yet perfect but the corner entry can be done better now, it's more friendly now.
ANDREA IANONE
