This may sound odd, but just the Italian rider looks forward for a wild card in World SBK.
He said he's looking for an opportunity to find a way with Ducati to be present in one World SBK races as a wild card this year. Also, Andrea gave an interview in which speaks about the future plans in Moto GP as a rider and about the new chasis, take a read after the jump.
Speaking about the Ducati 1199 Panigale:
"That bike is crazy beautiful, it attracts me. Unfortunately I've never driven it.
There is absolutely no program related to this, but I'd love to do a race in SBK. I do not know if Ducati will agree, I've never talked about - still - would not be easy to fit and test, the commitments i have in MotoGP, but if there is the will then the time would be . I could run at Jerez, or at Misano. "
Speaking about Moto GP
"I'm not too worried about my future, and I don't know if I will continue with Ducati or not. I was born lucky; I have a priority for next season: I want an official ride. We must be ambitious and it is normal that you alwaysto aim high, although I'm fine at Pramac too.
What is most important thing is that I deserve the treatment to be an official rider - said Iannone - The last few races have been the fastest Ducati rider on the track but, Dovizioso is ahead on the scoreboard . You have to be fast but also bring home the points. This is the goal for Le Mans."
Talking about the new frame
"I'll have one in the box - explains - is not on changed very much, it only allows more adjustment range. At Mugello we tried it for just two laps. I will use the mapping of the first two races, in Argentina we had chosen a different one and at Jerez had influenced us. The important thing, on Sunday, to bring some consistent points."
