Pictures with the first details of the new Ducati 1199 Panigale Superleggera.
These are the photos with all the new components that make 1199 Superleggera 18 kgs lighter, but another question rises, why not homologated for WSBK?
The first clear photo of the new Ducati 1199 Superlegera, in this picture being one of the 500 made which will cost 60 000 Euros or 65 000 USD.
The Corse inspired colo scheme looks good on the new Panigale and the carbon fiber body panels are easily distinghished, also, the carbon magnesium exhaust and the Öhlins TTX shock.
The question is.. why Superleggera won;t be produced to be homologated in WSBK?
2 000 units are required to be made for the World SBK homologation but Ducati will make only 500 units of this.
Superleggera in fact might be the Panigale 1199 RS13 in it's street version actually, by not having anything new to propose for the WSBK, this is the only logical answer I can find now.
Enjoy the pics, thanks to Asphalt&Rubber.
